Trading, Research and Development Paul Mulvaney, Chief Investment Officer Mulvaney Capital Management founder Paul Mulvaney is Chief Investment Officer. He has been managing money in the Mulvaney Capital Global Diversified Program since May 1999, and has primary responsibility for all investment decisions. Paul’s program leverages the knowledge and skills he has acquired over many years. From October 1986 until joining Merrill Lynch in September 1993, Paul held derivatives and foreign exchange trading posts at Midland Montagu, Bankers Trust Company and NatWest Markets. At Merrill Lynch he managed several major options portfolios and, separately, served as Co-head of the Fixed Income Derivatives Research Unit, where he focused on embedded optionality. Paul’s proprietary trading activity prompted the research and development of a statistical system for futures trading. After leaving Merrill Lynch he founded Mulvaney Capital Management in March 1999. Paul graduated from Manchester University in 1985 with first class honours in computer science and mathematics. In 1986 he gained an MSc with distinction in management science from Imperial College, London. The focus of his MSc thesis was computerised arbitrage models for interest rate and foreign exchange trading. Andrew Cheung, Applications ProgrammerAndrew has been developing trading and investor software applications and databases for MCM since September 2004. Previously he worked on information technology development projects for diverse clients including British Petroleum, British Telecom, Microsoft, Diageo and Thames Water. Andrew holds a BSc in economics from University College, London and an MSc in computing (with a specialism in management and information systems) from Imperial College, London. Silvana Castagnetti, Office Manager Non-executive Directors Gerry Ritchie Gerry has acted as a business consultant to MCM Ltd since February 2004 and a non-executive director since August 2005. Gerry is an experienced management consultant, having undertaken many major capital markets advisory and consulting projects globally during the last 12 years. He was CEO to a start-up stock exchange in The Bahamas in 2001-2002. During his four years based in Hong Kong from 1995 until 1999 he ran the Corporate Finance Association, a representative group for corporate finance firms. He previously carried out a range of regulatory, business and market development roles during his nine years at the London Stock Exchange from 1986 to 1995. He has an extensive network of contacts internationally in the major, offshore and developing financial centres. Gerry graduated from the University of Manchester with a joint honours degree in Accounting & Law in 1984. Joseph Connolly Joseph E Connolly has had thirty years experience in international banking and served as Senior Vice President and Global Head of Research during his eleven years at Citibank. He held a similar position for some years in investment research at UBS. Joseph is currently Commissioner of the United States of America for the UK-US Bilateral Foundation for Fulbrights and teaches finance, business strategy and corporate governance to MBAs and EMBAs at ENCP, one of France's grande ecoles. He held the Willard Brown Distinguished Professor Chair at the American University in Cairo where he taught Corporate Governance and Islamic Finance to MBAs. Joseph graduated in International Finance from the Harvard Business School. |
